EcoGenie - Designing an AI Assitant for Sustainable Living

An AI- powered mobile app that helps users adopt eco-friendly habits tailored to their liefstyle. It seeks to improve performance, optimize processes, and offer valuable insights to help stakeholders make informed decisions and achieve strategic goals.

Introducing EcoGenie for Eco-Conscious People

A smart concept designed to simplify sustainable living through personalised tips, challenges, and product suggestions. EcoGenie empowers individuals to make eco-friendly choices that fit their lifestyle, making sustainability more accessible, engaging, and impactful.

User Research

Research goal was to understand common challenges people face while trying to incorporate sustainability along with a busy schedule and to identify frustration experienced by user.

Survey addressed user problems, need and opinion about sustainability and mobile applications.

Aggregated Empathy maps were formed to visualise all the information known about the similar group of users.

User Stories

Lily wants to live sustainably but often feel overwhelmed by expensive products, confusing apps, tedious routine and unable to track their impact. Even after tracking the impact it feels overwhelmed to find actionable tips.

Luc an university student thrive for sustainable actions but feels he cannot juggle everything together.

Andrea a working proffessional travels a lot and prefer to take sustainable actions during her travel.

Closing thoughts

This project was part of my academic degree but I still exploring it. EcoGenie helped me explore how design can drive real-world impact. I learned the value of empathy, simplicity, and user-centered thinking. This project strengthened my skills in research, ideation, and prototyping.
I'm excited to keep designing solutions that make life more sustainable.
